GODOT / #waiting
Performance Project in Berlin based on Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett
Are we waiting? And if so, what for - and how?
Do we have any time left to wait?
And what if we just stopped waiting?
During four weeks of preparation and three days of intensive work on site the group will elaborate an approximately half-our performance based on the play Waiting for Godot, which will be publicly shown at TATWERK Berlin on Saturday night. We will play with styles and forms such as realism, surrealism, expressionism, physical theatre and butoh and bring them together in a transdisciplinary context.
The preparatory, non-local, work on the performance will start one month before the Berlin workshop, so we ask for early registration (until 22.3.2019). During this month, Samuel will lead an active exploration of the basic text and, will work with the participants on first ideas for staging. This will mainly be realized via e-mail. The time invested in the project during the preparation phase will depend very much on the participants themselves, probably around 2-4 hours per week.
• Installation, Body Art
