This is no charity event! This is a lecture performance about invisible disabilities and invisible barriers.

Angela Alves is a disabled performer that doesn’t want to be included, nor participate and least of all she wants to keep up with others. She agitates for a culture of equality, where no one must be included, because no one is excluded. In Clown Adapt she’s not asking for contribution, but calls for surrender, self-care and rebellion – in the matter of accessibility and humanity.

Performance and Concept: Angela Alves

Biography

Angela Alves studied dance at the ArtEZ Kunsthochschule in Arnhem and dance science at the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2014 she founded TURN. Neue Bewegung für Multiple Sklerose, an association for artists with MS that offers dance and movement workshops. 
During the Tanztage 2019 she presented her first solo work "Soft Offer", in which she contrasts the unpredictability of her own body with the glorifications of being available.
