Aurora Kellermann studied Acting at Centro Internazionale La Cometa and later Theater Science in Rome. In 2007 she moved to Berlin, where she has since participated in many different projects in institutional theaters as well as in the independent scene of the city. In her work she questions the distribution of power and its dynamic, her focus lies on the margins of society. From “EVA.” (2007), where the first woman finally takes possession of her own actions by re-writing the story of Genesis – to the figure of the terrorist, object of “E.C.F.C.” (2008 by AKR), in which the borders between thought and action as a physical event are discussed. Her last production “WHAT’S LEFT OF – performative Dokumentation über Sexarbeit” (2013) was awarded the production prize MOVIN’UP 2012 by the Italian Ministry of Education and the Arts and realized in collaboration with Ballhaus Ost. Since November 2014 she is – together with Chris Wohlrab – the artistic director of the studio TATWERK | Performative Forschung in Berlin.
Chris Wohlrab was born and grew up in Berln. After working in the field of Media and Communication for some years he switched in 2010 to theatre. He was production manager (among others for "Woyzecken − Bürger Trinker Antifa"; "Tage des Zorns"; "Lasset die Kindlein") in the Theaterkapelle. From September 2011 to December 2013 he was director of the artistic administration. During this time he met Aurora Kellermann and they started working together. Since November 2014 he is – together with Aurora Kellermann – the artistic director of the studio TATWERK | Performative Forschung in Berlin.
