Aurora Kellermann studied Acting at Centro Internazionale La Cometa and later Theater Science in Rome. In 2007 she moved to Berlin, where she has since participated in many different projects in institutional theaters as well as in the independent scene of the city. In her work she questions the distribution of power and its dynamic, her focus lies on the margins of society. From “EVA.” (2007), where the first woman finally takes possession of her own actions by re-writing the story of Genesis – to the figure of the terrorist, object of “E.C.F.C.” (2008 by AKR), in which the borders between thought and action as a physical event are discussed. Her last production “WHAT’S LEFT OF – performative Dokumentation über Sexarbeit” (2013) was awarded the production prize MOVIN’UP 2012 by the Italian Ministry of Education and the Arts and realized in collaboration with Ballhaus Ost.
